Injury and Pathology
This course is designed for fitness professionals to achieve a greater understanding of common injuries and diseases they may see in their class population. Suitable for Pilates, Yoga and Fitness Instructors, as well as Personal Trainers and Sports Masseuses with an interest in injuries.
Course Leader
Emily Ward is a Registered Osteopath with a keen interest in Rheumatology and Neurology, seeing a wide variety of the conditions covered in this course day to day in Private Practice.
Objectives
This course outlines common orthopaedic spinal conditions, common rheumatological, autoimmune and musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
This course will give Instructors the background knowledge and confidence to guide individuals with common injuries or pathologies in a group exercise class, and outline some simple rules for adapting exercises to suit.
